Columbus-based experiential marketing agency is seeking an experienced account manager / social media manager / event manager for upcoming opportunities with our agency. Position is full-time and would begin immediately. This position is 40%-50% travel and includes nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Training and management of on-site local staff
Display set-up and teardown
Maintaining a positive working relationship with clients on both a local and national level
Securing local permits when needed
Coordination of pre-event logistics and inventory management
Post-event reporting to the agency and client in a professional manner
Consistently deliver on objectives for each event and motivating staff to meet those objectives
Developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with vendors and properties to ensure a return on investment and added value to the sponsorship
Managing budgets and expenses for travel
Providing input on activation and creative enhancements to ensure the best engagement and environment for the brand(s)
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Communications, or related field required
3-6 years of experience in event marketing/communications and/or management preferred
Exceptional communication skills – you’re equally comfortable hopping on the phone with a new potential partner, meeting them in person, or following up on a previous lead. You are confident, well-spoken, outgoing, and professional.
Roll-up- your-sleeves mentality – we’re a small team, everyone including our executive team gets their hands dirty to get stuff done
Expert multi-tasking – you’ll be working on or going after multiple opportunities every hour of every day. You will remain undaunted, organized and juggle these tasks without letting the ball drop. You will know how to prioritize your time.
Team player – you want to be relied upon and you understand how others make your goals achievable
Sense of urgency – you want to “go, move, make things happen, and shake things up!”
Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle
Ability to lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical skills –You will forecast and measure the ROI of any proposal you create.
Supreme ability to organize yourself and your tasks, and manage your time
Professional but not stuffy – we’re sharp and competent but also fun
Strong management and leadership skills
This is a FULL TIME, contract position and includes nights, weekends, and travel. Benefits include a stipend for health insurance and paid holidays. Hotel, airline, and rental car fees are all covered at the agency’s expense; per diem will be allotted in lieu of meal expenses. Qualified candidates required to submit to a complete background, DMV and credit check.
