Heading into the 2013 season and fresh off an American League Championship crown, the Detroit Tigers looked to enhance their fan experience at their annual TigerFest event. MAG's experience in fan fests and creative design made them the obvious choice to manage the event from conception to execution.
MAG's in-house creative team produced vibrant, dynamic backdrops and canvases featuring statistics and murals that brought Tigers memories to life before the fans' eyes. Memorabilia from Detroit's baseball history was on display in the Trophy Room, including authenticated game-used gear from as far back as the Ty Cobb Era.
MAG also designed and managed the Kids Zone at Comerica Park. Young Tigers fans enjoyed Tigers Plinko; a video arcade; and the PAWS Lil Dingers Home Run Challenge, giving kids the chance to swing for the fences in a controlled environment utilizing whiffle balls and bats. On-stage programming featuring Radio Disney was held on the MAG truss stage, complete with MAG's own audio capabilities and technicians. Player cutouts were also on hand so fans could pose as their favorite Tiger.
TigerFest 2013 was considered a very successful event, with all 8,000 tickets selling out within a matter of hours.
